Why I Chose Delta Phi Mu
Philanthropy

Dedicated to our community

Beta Ch

Delta Phi Mu is by definition a philanthropic organization. From the very beginning, we have been dedicated to providing philanthropy and community service aimed at women, and in general at all people in need. Beta Chapter is no exception to this legacy, and strives to be involved in the Southern Illinois community. The ladies of Beta Chapter pride themselves in their community involvement by contributing in any way they can to uplift  those who are less fortunate or merely need an extra hand. The ladies of Beta Chapter understand that giving back to the community is not only about sparing a couple of hours a week, but rather about  understanding the changes necessary  to make the world a better place.

The ladies of Beta Chapter devote themselves to performing at least one large community service project per month as a group, and participating in smaller projects throughout the month as many as one a week!

We also embrace the opportunity to work with other groups (not just Greeks) and individuals, so if you would like to join us for a project, or want us to join you, please contact any Delta Phi Mu Beta Chapter sister.

Community service may sound like hard work, but when we work together, have fun, and learn to make a difference... it makes it all worth while!

Additionally, the ladies at Beta Chapter participate in the Delta Phi Mu National Philanthropy which supports the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute in its fight against Heart Disease. The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute created the program "Heart Truth", in conjunction with the "Go Red for Women" program and the "Red Dress" program to raise awareness of the risks of heart disease. Heart diease is the #1 killer of women, specifically women of color.
